The Double D brand was established in 1978 and grew to become one of the leading UK manufacturers of industrial cookers for the further processing of meat, poultry, fish and vegetables. Double D equipment can be designed, manufactured and installed to the customers’ exact specification, whether a small independent operator or a major player.
Its current portfolio includes equipment for continuous and flexible high volume cooking, searing, grill-marking, pre-frying and baking. It also manufactures batch cooker solutions for further processing meat, fish and ready meals, and a batch rack oven for processing a wide variety of bakery products.
JBT acquired the Double D brand in 2009, so that its linear ovens and cookers could be integrated with JBT’s existing range of Frigoscandia® freezing and chilling systems, and Stein® fryers and coating line equipment, providing customers with a wider range of in-line food processing solutions.
