Supplier Diversity
As part of JBT’s commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, we have established a dynamic supplier diversity program. JBT is committed to making Supplier Diversity a key part of how we operate and service our customers. We support this commitment by working with businesses that are owned and operated by minorities, women, U.S. veterans, and other historically under-represented groups.
Who Qualifies?
Certified diverse U.S. suppliers who provide exceptional products, services, and supply chain solutions. We encourage businesses of all sizes to engage with us; not just multinational, but small, medium, and large local, regional, and national companies as well. These businesses must be at least 51% owned and controlled by someone in at least one of the following segments:
- Under-represented ethnic minority group
- Woman
- Veteran
- Disabled
- LGBTQIA+
- Small business with less than $10M in revenue
JBT accepts the following national certifications: National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC), Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC), National LGBT Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC), VA (Department of Veterans Affairs), NaVOBA (National Veteran Owned Business Association) and Disability:In. Eligibility for certification is also confirmed through a combination of interviews, screenings, and site visits.
Innovation & Creativity Fueled by Diversity
We believe establishing and maintaining a diverse supplier pool drives competition, increases creativity, and promotes innovation. We will accomplish this by maximizing procurement opportunities and building strategic partnerships. Our goal is to identify qualified businesses in each of our sourcing categories wherever these suppliers exist. Our sourcing team is dedicated to pursuing strategic relationships with diverse suppliers in the communities and regions in which we operate. This empowers us to develop high quality, innovative and cost-effective business solutions.
JBT’s Supplier Diversity program is designed to foster lasting business relationships with a set of suppliers who are as diverse as the members of our community and extended customer base. It begins with actively ensuring that diverse suppliers have access to our opportunities. Diversity, equity, and inclusion are part of our culture.
Our Team is Here to Support You
“Our commitment to diversity must be evident in our sourcing practices and supplier base. Inclusive procurement empowers JBT to improve society by generating economic opportunity for under-represented businesses & communities. I am an advocate of diversity, equality & inclusion and proud to lead JBT’s Supplier Diversity program.”
