Disabilities, Including Physical
Most know that disability is defined as a physical or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more major life activities. Disability affects approximate 61 million, or nearly 1 in 4 (26%) people in the United States and more than one billion people worldwide. Including disability in the Diversity & Inclusion discussion can result in helping companies to make work environments more accessible to employees with disabilities and defining jobs with tools, resources, layout that accommodate those with disabilities.
